'Cause I totally felt like drawing myself with my first character, Damien Devore.

Actually, the story behind this piece is basically about thinking back to 'bout 6-10 years ago when I first started to draw Damien and everyone else.

THE STORY ABOUT DAMIEN

I remember him being very full of himself, as well as being a "player" needless to say. His outfit was something like what Mingan and Thomas Charleville have, 'cept most of it was blue. He was still a demon I believe, he was either already king, or an orphan, I can't remember for the life of me. His signature item was a rose actually ...

Now that the times have changed, things have definitely been altered, not sure it was for the better, or the worst. So! On the left, we have the present Damien Devore; evil, alcoholic, son of the devil, the Pocky-loving vampire! Not too happy with who's sitting beside him, who is none other than yours truly.

Yes, I do have a hat like that, many can vouch for that. Many can also say I've changed a bit myself.

THE STORY ABOUT STEPHANIE/KIT

Down on the right hand corner beside the ol' Damien, is myself at age 9. Back then I was very apprehensive, angst-ridden, the epitome of all bad rumors, and everything else. I guess you can say back then I lived in my created world, and remained in there happily due to a pretty broken-down home-life, as well as a shitty school life. Before I met and , I wasn't exactly the most well-known, in fact I lead to believe myself that I had next to no friends at all, the people I used to be associated just pretended to be my friends and nothing else. So, before I met Nia and Rhys, my own creations were considered as my friends, once I fell asleep night after night in Helvorsa - My home away from home, My Dreamworld.

Call it an illness, or call me childish, but I don't care. Helvorsa, my characters, everything I did was a shield from reality, from the lies, the drama, everything that was negative when I faced the day. Another fact about me is that I rarely smiled, laughed, or sang. To be honest, I was a very depressed kid.

So, in closing, even though I'm almost 18, Helvorsa is still my little escape from reality. A place where I'm not Stephanie Bell, but Kit Tastrophe. Damien Devore, now at age 22, back then he was 16 has developed into something I can truly relate to in various ways. So I guess you can say he's my male half.

I'm not colouring this one, I need a few sketches every now and again.
